what do you think about adding EFL (enlightenment libs) as well?

Actually, what do you think about redoing the whole build system using
makefiles or something else?
I also think that w/ mingw-w64, we can do away with the gstreamer msvc build.
Thoughts? I suppose the discussion should be moved to a different issue...but
oh well -- I'm hijacking this thread. :)

I'd love to use something like jhbuild :)
It's been used by gnome for many projects and I use it at home/work on linux
for gstreamer. It's very extensible and can be used to compile from tarballs, a
git/svn/etc repo and support autotools, custom commands, etc...
I think it's one of the best options to get full support from the Free Software
community since it's easier to contribute. And gstreamer could be also built
using jhbuild on windows :) We won't have to maintain the VS projects
anymore!!! And we'll be able to cross compile gstreamer for Windows on a linux
machine. The only thing we will need to maintain is the set of patches for the
external dependencies :D

Moving to jhbuild sounds fine to me -- I have zero experience with it, but
that's not a problem. :)
I'd like to maintain the MSVC infrastructure at least in a limited way b/c I
have some thoughts about the direction of the project that we should discuss.
