iGoogle Gadget logging out after restart #359

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. click the add button on the google desktop sidebar and select iGoogle
gadget.
2. Copy and paste the following URL into the text box and click "Load Gadget":

http://www.google.com/ig/adde?moduleurl=http://www.google.com/ig/modules/tasks.x
ml&source=imag

3. Enter your log-in credentials.
4. Restart Google Gadgets for Linux.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Should see the box logged into your iGoogle Gadget app. Instead, the
iGoogle Gadget is logged out. What is more, user name and password fields
are normally off screen.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Fedora 11, Google Gadgets 0.11.1.

Please provide any additional information below.

Sorry for late reply. Current Google Gadgets for Linux implementation does not 
save 
session cookies, so it's not possible to remember the login information. I'm 
not sure 
if it's easy to support it.

The Google Mail and Reader gadgets seem to remember my login between sessions: 
is this 
different to the iGoogle gadget?

They are Desktop Gadgets, different than iGoogle gadgets.

How do the desktop gadgets store the session? Would it be possible to give the
iGoogle Desktop Gadget access to this cookie store?
