Make MRU File Check on Start-Up Non-Blocking #58

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Hello.

I don't know why but often, when I open somne .nfo, it does (infekt ?) my
external disk to spin up... (switch on) and plus, I must wait for the time that
my HDD wakes up...

My OS, infekt and nfo aren't on my external HDD...

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
infekt 0.7.9 and Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate.

Please provide any additional information below.
My external HDD is connected via USB. No problems with other internall HDDs
(over SATA).

Cheers.

Are there any files from your external HDD in your MRU list? (The list that
pops up if you click the arrow next to the Open button)

iNFekt checks whether these files/paths still exist on startup, which may
trigger your external drive to spin up.

Hello.

Yes, there are ! It seems to be the problem... I didn't see this before (I open
my .nfo directly via the Windows Explorer...)

Maybe if I uncheck "Remember recent files" in the general settings, it will
solve my problem. I'm going to test it.

Thank you very much.

Cheers.

Going to do something about this as it delays the startup procedure
unnecessarily.
