5 years ago Hi , I wrote a while back asking you kindly what software you've used to create the Gerber files with but still after all this time did not hear from you. Are you still maintaining the project or is now a thing of the past> I have a laminator that looks identical with APACHE but does not have any digital controller at all. Is equiped with just a basic led and a temperature tuning potentiometer. I would very much like to put your arduino progect to work on my Laminator but cannot find a way of opening the gerber files to se the design. I have a copy of free KiCad. My question is....do I need to use a PRO version of KiCad in order to open the above files? Ive tried several orher cad software but they all failed. Thank you.
Hi there, I'm new to Github and do not know how to use it (yet) I hope that my message is in the right place. Now to the issue: I'm into electronics and want to make some PCB's and searching the net for a neat Arduino style controller for my IKON IP-330 laminator (very mechanically similar to APACHE but no digital screen on it) I just stumbled across your published project on Github. I downloaded it and thought, let's give it a go but......can not open any of the files. The software I've tried with (so far) is DipTrace, KiCad, and Sprint-Layout. But all of the failed. Question: what software you've created the files with? Please. Thank you. Did you actually get to the bottom of it and have a final functioning version that really works or.....are you still open for new ideas or....has the project now left behind or... I would like to know all of the above (if you don't mind) Thank you
