Hi, is there a way to get BT MAP working on this ROM? Bluetooth Message Access
profile would allow the phone to send my SMS messages to my car's audio system
for handsfree reading of SMS messages.

This feature works on my previous android device (HTC EVO 3D - stock ROM).

What Phone Are you using--Maguro(GSM)-TORO(Verizon)-TOROPLUS(Sprint)
1. Toroplus

What is the build date & version listed in the phone settings
1. 3/29 - 21:55:49 PDT / JDQ39-4.2.2_r1

What Kernel are you using when this issue appears
1. 3.0.70-Sourcerizer

What Gapps did you install(If obscure please tell us where you got them)
1. StandardGapps 4.2.2 - (4.2.2-nophotosphere.zip) from
http://teamsourcery.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1379&p=6478#p6478

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(We need exact steps to reproduce bug)
1. Enable Bluetooth on phone
2. Enable Bluetooth on car, and pair to phone
3. Look for MAP (profile) on phone to enable - it is not found
4. (I only see Media transfer and phone transfer - no message transfer)

Have you tried this on any other rom where it worked as you expect?
(yes/no--ROM) (thanks)
1. No - doesn't work on Stock sprint ROM
2. No - doesn't work on CM10.1

Did this function correctly on a previous Sourcery rom version.
(which version)
1. No - tried on 5.1.1 - didn't work

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see the option to enable Bluetooth MAP - that is not present.

What recovery are you using to install the rom.
(twrp/cwm ?)

TWRP

Please provide any additional information below.
http://teamsourcery.com/features-and-change-log/ indicates that Bluetooth MAP
was added in JBSourcery 4.5
I don't know if it was removed since then, or if it some bug that is preventing
it from working. (not sure whether to mark this as a defect or an enhancement)

I've tried this on a variety of cars (Toyota Camry, Ford Edge, Lexus GS350,
Audi A4, Honda Accord), and with several devices including my old EVO 3D (stock
ROM), Galaxy S3 (stock), friend's iphone 4s - all these devices seem to work
fine with the BT MAP feature enabled. The Galaxy Nexus doesn't seem to even
show the profile.

No, none of the other phones are on 4.2.2 :)

arcvp - I don't really care for that. What I really want is MAP (allow the
phone to send my SMS messages to my car's audio system for handsfree reading of
SMS messages)
I briefly switched over to CM10.1 to see if MAP was working as the changelog
indicated, and MAP is not working on that either.

I'm really not familiar with the coding behind these various profiles, but is
it not possible to use the BT drivers, and the code for the MAP profile from
4.1.1 (or earlier if needed) to get it to work? Or is that not compatible with
4.2.x?

Thanks again for your continued support of the ROM.

an update.... I tried the Galaxy S4 with my car, and it works beautifully. MAP
supported (SMS only though). And the BT connection was super stable. Android
4.2.2

I also got a friend to pair his HTC One with my car - MAP supported - SMS &
Email!!! And the BT connection was stable all during the long drive. Android
4.1.2

I realize these are different phones, different hardware, so it may not be
possible to just use the same drivers, but is there any way that teamsourcery
to get BT-MAP to work with the Galaxy Nexus? (and make BT stable at the same
time)?

Thanks :)

Thank You for filing at the Sourcery bug and or enhancment center. Sourcery
has release version 5.3 which we believe is the best version yet. But
unfortunately This is also the final release of Sourcery. SO we wont be taking
any further requests.
Thanks again for taking the Journey with us and hope V5.3 will tied you oe for
a while. Everything will continue to function.
And we will support and fix bugs we can with minimal changes to V5.3
If not there are many great roms out there. Im sure youll find a new home.
Thanks again
