Not working with RTX video enhancement #238

The ultrawidify extension does not seem to work alongside the new RTX Super resolution video enhancement. This setting is enabled in the nVidia control panel and enhances all videos played within the browser, in this case Firefox. When trying to make video go ultrawide it stops enhancing the video. You can noticably see video quality dip as well as GPU usage, indicating the feature stops working when enabling the extension. Windows 11 RTX 4090 Firefox 119

I can't really get RTX Super Resolution to work with Firefox, even after setting gfx.webrender.super-resolution.nvidia to true and restarting Firefox.

Granted: 2080Ti + Win10 (same Firefox version), though I don't think this should be a problem since Nvidia recently backported the feature to the 20-series as well (I've tested and RTX Super Resolution does work in Chrome for me).

As such, I can't really do any digging about the issue at the moment. At the moment, it sounds like a firefox issue, but I'd like to verify that. I've made 4 simple pages that have nothing but a random video playing (autoplay, loop, muted).

Please disable Ultrawidify (in about:extensions) for a bit. After you've disabled it, please try opening the following pages:

Is RTX Video enhancement working in all of the above examples, or are there any examples where it doesn't work?

Is RTX video enhancement working in all of the above examples if you enter fullscreen with F11?

I've since switched to the "UltraWideo" extension which works with RTX video enhancement. It also works on more websites such as amazon prime.
