List of things that we think should be covered in the ggplot lesson:

General concepts of how ggplot works (data, aesthetics, geometries)
Visualise distributions: boxplots, violin plots, histograms, density plots
Look at correlations with scatterplots (geom_point)
Look at trends across related data (geom_line)
Visualise multi-dimensional data: use of colours and facets
