Update to 10.6 #3

I have updated the projects to build on 10.6, and have modified a few source files to avoid the missing ARJ frameworks (where possible). I also have updated some of the code to avoid using deprecated methods.

If you intend to keep working on the project to build on 10.4, you should pull this into a branch for 10.6.
