General issues

[x] Someone with more experience in TYPO3 (old site) checks layout
[x] spell and wording checking
[ ] Check order of the info and add a table of content linking to the different sub-chapters
[ ] Add/check links to OCS, Regonline, Hotels ...
[x] clarify the different contacts for the questions of he participants
[ ] Make sure all concerned people have access to this page on the site and use Github to follow up.(Gail, Hank, Lucy, Cyndy, Stan, Pat for now ) Add others as needed.

Specific issues

[x] Date of training also in the title with Venue of the training which is different from the main venue
[ ] Is the used image the agreed logo for the conference ?
[ ] Introduction check if this is enough, if the sub-programs are still up to date
[x] Capacity building "for African participants" it was my understanding that there is indeed a grant for African participants, but that the workshops are open to all provided there is enough room and not restricted to African participants only (please clarify). @hankbart and Lucy (she needs to connect to GtiHub)
[x] suggestion to create a sub-page with the trainings that links from the main page here.
[ ] Conference theme needs to be a bit more elaborated
[ ] Call for papers, check the text (from Sweden) if still ok and add link to OCS
[ ] Draft program (will be replaced by final later) add link to OCS
[x] Committee -> seems to be a mix of Local organizers (ie logistics) and scientific organizing committee (where you have also externals) --> clarify and adapt with thus two different committees (LOC) and Scientific committee.
[ ] SYMPOSIA and workshops (is still version of 2014) to be adapted to 2015, see if you want to keep this layout and how to link to OCS as needed.
[x] Interest and task group meetings --> did we even get any ?
[ ] Registration add figures and dates and link to Regonline (which also needs to be set up to register)
[ ] check and add more details as needed to venue
[ ] update travel information
[x] update points of contacts and roles
[ ] update travel recommendations (ie airports, local transport
[x] What to do with Security part (recommendation from Embassies and foreign affairs is to put no details publicly and tell participants to ask organizers).
[x] Check local information about climate, shopping, electricity (are those the same plugs as in the UK or different ?)
[ ] Update social event, about Kenya and Nairobi and optional excursions

I am not able to login to the old website to edit (using http://www.tdwg.org/typo3/) I get a message Administration Login on TDWG Your login attempt did not succeed. Make sure to spell your username and password correctly, including upper/lowercase characters.

I can help with the non-program or non-LOC committee tasks once I have access

for me use the mail secretary@tdwg.org, as I do not want Spam on my professional address. As I will not participate, there are however things I may not be able to follow up or answer. I think @dkoureas said he would help out for the secretary work on site, thus maybe good to have him in the loop too ?

I have made a variety of changes to the page to make it a little more concise and ready to go live (rather than the words UPDATE I put TBA where we don't yet have information). I checked off some of the tasks in Pat's to do list. Talked to Hank who got into Typo3 but can't see the editing controls on the page. Will need to work with Stan ASAP.

I have temporarily hidden the block about registration which won't be ready to go live until Regonline is set up.

@sblum It seems I cannot login to tdwg.org/typo3 admin login. I don't know if I am supposed to, but could help out if needed.

@dkoureas I have given you rights/permissions to edit content on www.tdwg.org/typo3. If you would like a quick introduction to typo3, I can do a skype or hangout screenshare with you.

Brilliant! Thanks Stan! I confirm I can get in. TYPO3 is pretty self-explanatory, but will bother you if I come across any issues.
