Create & Send out Survey Monkey for TDWG2016 Feedback #32

Please submit questions for the meeting survey as soon as possible or no later than 15 December. I will be looking at last year's survey as a template, and make changes as required. I will send out a draft for input after the meeting.

If you think appropriate, I was wondering if we can have a question on the Outreach and Communication theme. We can ask for ideas on how to expand the reach and awareness of TDWG activities. We could even do a multiple choice and/or text box.

Dear Prabhakar,

The survey is already longer than I had hoped and it is meeting-focused. I would think that ultimately you should create a more focused survey concentrating on outreach and communications—it deserves its own treatment. However, if there is something specific that you would like to know about outreach and communication through the lens of meetings, then we could add this…or it could wait and be included in a more rounded treatment of your topic.

Hi all

sorry for not be very reactive on this one, had yet 2 other proposals to finish up last minute. I have gone through the discussions now and I agree with the conclusion to not have this survey too long. With a good dosage for not overwhelming our users, we can have now and then more targeted surveys linked to to other topics or functional groups .. Maybe also via Git hub by putting the label 'need help" or "question" we can collect some input from our members and followers.

There is another iteration concerning a new question specifically addressing features of the 2016 meeting, which is before the program and local committee. I’ve given a deadline of Wednesday the 4th for feedback. So it’s not ready yet @dkoureas --thanks for asking.

Here is the final report Summary_TDWG2016_Survey_final.docx from the 2016 TDWG annual meeting in Costa Rica. Let me know if you cannot access the links in this document. Comments and suggestions welcomed and will be shared with the 2016/17/18 committees as appropriate.

@dkoureas please include this in the agenda (if anyone has questions or comments, not to be rehashed as a presentation) for the February Exec meeting(s). Thanks!
