Ketouch

In Blas Sbal's song Ngermid is the line "Ma uchul me kerdi ketouch e di diak bod modak." Yoichi Rengiil and Felix Okabe both tell me that Ketouch (I think it is spelled correctly) means to "argue with each other" or "disagree with each other." Are there other forms of this word, or must it always be reciprocal? Tirkel a ketouch el kirel a election. It looks an awful lot like "kautoketok," so I am wondering if it is a different word or the same with a difference in spelling?
