Need Clarity About Release Versions and Firmware Update Files #14

Tenlog posted about firmware V1.0.17 on Facebook on January 19. There is no .hex file in this repository. There is a .hex file in the Tenlog google drive; I would have to assume TL-D3P-DWN.hex is correct for a new TL-D3 Pro.

The Facebook post mentions that the touchscreen must be flashed to match V1.0.17. That version is not in this repository. The .bin, .icl etc files are in the Tenlog google drive under 4.3 > V1.3.6, but there is no .tft file necessary for flashing the touchscreen.

Please clearly explain which are the latest supported production release versions and exactly which .hex and .tft files we need to use to upgrade our printers.

Thank you.

I second that. Using releases and tags would be a good idea...

Wow, I had a decent call to the 800# presale downhill after that the unit has about 5~10% untightened fasteners My tools screen has half english/ half spanish I was personnally sent a zip by tenlog to flash. excerpt below

ey Guys,

I am up and running now, have my offset dialed close, made a nice orange tube.

then started to play with Cura, found a brace on thingy, sliced it with the 4.8 on the SD card, ran it a mirrored double, came out decent.

Now I wish to get my extruder steps dialed in, and am having trouble, perhaps you can help. I have installed Repetier-host, it seems COM 5 is where I should be, I have tried several combinations of baud rate etcetera.

Can you guide me in getting a connection via the blue USB cable to my HP laptop, win 10

With that, I notice there is a new "how to" for MB updates, I have installed a micro SD ribbon cable to the touchscreen board for easy access.

I have included a photo of my units serial number, please send latest firmware, drivers, touchscreen update, (please note my current home screen is half english, half spanish)

Thank You

Mike

THAT, got me a reply with no standard CS niceties, etc just basically, here it is. the DWIN set I loaded that(ran a ribbon to the screenback) to a SD and ..... nuthin. My last email to TL is below, such a common sound to the OP's experience, yeah?

These files cause the machine to simply not boot at all.

There is no *.tft file for the touchscreen UI in the zip anyway.

Nor have you addressed my questions concerning windows connectivity.

I will struggle thru this, I will find a way to succeed, but it is not on path of nice feelings towards service@
