Allow climbers to "tag" photos from other climbers with other climbers.

The use case is

I go climbing with Jack and Jill.

Jill takes a photo of jack climbing.

Later I see the photo and notice that Jill has not marked Jack as the climber.

I would like to be able to tag Jack as the climber, maybe even tag Jill at the photographer

This could be extended to add dates, descriptions, comments and of cause the famous sharing.

Just so I understand this. Is this issue about allowing somebody to update the climber and photographer of somebody else's photo?

Or is this about a fundamental redesign of the photo tagging?

ie is this to allow 1-many climber tags in a photo, with not just the extra climbers tagged but some sort of facebook like physical locating in the climber in the photo as well?

I do like this, but it worries me every time we think about re-inventing the wheel.

Let's hold off for a bit on this one because I really want to see which way Facebook/instogram etc are going and maybe it's better to leverage off them.

The main motivation for tagging on our site is so that you can follow other photos the person has taken/climbed. I don't care how we end up doing it as long as we can tour all of the photos where Adam is the climber.

I have noticed we are starting to get a lot more photos submitted, so maybe there is something going on here.
