I've added it to my fork but it'd would be good if we have it by default

Can you attach a patch please?

Suppose you are talking about automatic argument splitting on the callback. I 
am not particularly in favor of auto splitting to space or \s+ because this 
largely depends on what user wants.
I know some people prefer to be able to have spaces in command, e.g.  give 
credit 1000. where 'give credit' is the command. - more friendly to non-tech 
users.
Or perhaps I misunderstood your request.
