Potential memory leak? #88

As I play, the game types slower and slower. Requires me to exit out of the app entirely and then open it back up to get back to "normal" speed, then repeata after a few more words.

This has happened to me as well, and has made the game almost unplayable. I first suspected the problem to be related to ads that were showing up, so I bought a cup of coffee to make the ads go away but the problem remained. For what it's worth, I noticed this when playing on an Android phone, and a very quick test seem to show that everything runs fine when running from a PC. I have been playing successfully and joyfully for several months, but this problem first manifested about a week ago. Every other app on my phone seems to run just fine.

I've got the same problem with my Samsung S10 on Chrome.

I get 3 words in, with the speed run timer on, and after that the slowdown is unbearable - lag of almost a second per key press - so I close it and give up.

Like GazpachoZen, the problem only started a week or so ago.

I have the same problem on my Samsung A22 running Chrome. However, when I switch to Firefox on the A22, I no longer have the lag.

I've reverted the new ad provider, does that help solve the issue?

Sorry, no. I even deleted my caches and restarted the phone. (which unfortunately also resulted in my losing all my game stats)
