I found a lot of error message on log file. Is this normal?

Hi guys, I'm not sure this is going to be of any benefit as I'm a noob when it comes to all of this. But, have any of you that are failing to receive TFuel like @nexster checked their status of their node at https://guardianmonitor.io/ ? I didn't even realize it was a thing till yesterday. But if you go there and press control + F on your computer you can type in your node address and you should see it in the list of Guardian Nodes. On the columns to the right it should say Stable and Online (mine says stable and online and still haven't received tfuel for past 6 days but I don't have much so I think it's working). If yours does not I assume you won't get any tFuel no matter how long you wait (this is just speculation). Also there are other columns that state how much tfuel you have earned and how much you have lost. Maybe you guys know about this already but I came across it in a reddit post yesterday and wanted to make sure everyone who is new to this like me is aware of this site where they can monitor the status of their node.

Day 9. No Tfuel. My stake is 1140ish btw. Crossing fingers as day 10 and 11 approaches.

Guardian.Io says I have 10.5 Tfuel earned. So I maybe ok. Just impatient.

Just to update all, after reinstalling my GN over and over and expecting regular rewards like before, I decide to leave my node running and now after 5 days of just letting it run I have finally received my first batch of 12 TFUEL. As another user stated, it seems there is now a payout limit of 12 TFUEL, so if you have not received any TFUEL yet just keep your node running and it will come eventually. It would have been really good if this was made clear by the devs, as its taken a bit of fiddling about and headache trying to figure out what was wrong. Maybe if the devs could update the documentation that would be really helpful.

forgot to mention im running Linux CLI latest version

I installed latest guardian node on Windows 10 using GUI program, got the same warning. The computer has 1TB hardware and literally is doing nothing but being a guardian node. I also tried deleting database and downgrading the performance tier all the way down to Standard.

So far a week after and 0 Tfuels earned. Love to hear how can fix this.

Day 9 no Tfuel yet.

check guardian monitor.io to see if yours is showing as active. Let it run a while and you can see if it’s accumulating any Tfuel.

Guardianmonitor.io shows I have 11.7 pending. Will update if I get a payout.

That said, in leaving my node running- I received a payout of 12 Theta Fuel in a bulk.

They must have changed the way the network processes, not told anyone, caused a bunch of errors on the client because of it- but it still functions.

Just aggravating to see an free edge node make more everyday than a stake that is $10k +.

Hi, I have not read all posts here but like to shed some light over this. The warning and error message about ValidateInputAdvanced, can be ignored. I have them in my log files and I have no problem. I found a messeage from a devloper at theta labs in a thread here at github where he confirmed this. I forget where, sorry for that.

The problem I had was due to the Mainnet 2.2.0 upgrade. I had tor reinstall booth Windows and Linux clients to get it to work again (v2.2.10). The message about ValidateInputAdvanced is unrelated to this.

As many already has stated, check your network connectivity at https://guardianmonitor.io/. Status should be ONLINE/STABLE and 30DMB (30 Day Missed Blocks) should be as low as possible.

For the expectation of how often you get reward. The reward is payed out in 12 TFULE shunks. The reward is currently 4%. If you have staked 1000 THETA, you have currently staked $12774. Annual reward is 0.04*12774 = $511 That is 511/12 = 42.6 payouts of $12 rewards in a year. The payout interval is 364/46,2 = 8.57 days in average. The payout intervall is randomized as well so it can be longer/shorter than that.

I have 2355 missed blocks which is more than some that are flatlined. So I am gonna say My node has problems. I guess I will just stake to guardian pool. So much for supporting decentralization.

Just my observation how the reward system is badly set up, staking thousands' of dollar in the network earns less than simply running an edge node with no staking. Running a guardian node for 10 days and no fuel drop is just bad.

You migh just be lucky with your edge node, I receive very few Edge Cache jobs.

Looks like my missed block count is going down slowly. Will keep an eye on it before unstaking.

Those are measured for a 30 day period. Give it time and it should trend toward 0. Those you missed might simply have happened while you were syncing originally or something like that... at least this is the comprehension I have of this so far... which is definitely far from an expert opinion :) we'll see in a few weeks how wrong I was

Update for you @nexster, I got my 2nd 12pack of tFuel on day 12 with the minimum 1000 tokens staked on my node!

I still have none since the update. I unstaked. Will re-format my hard drive and retry. Something must have got corrupted when my power went out unexpectedly.

Hi Everyone,

I still have not heard back from the support team but I am starting to see TFuel earnings on my guardian node.

I suspect the log error:

"WARN [ledger] validateSourceAdvanced failed on 0x90a5C68EB3A4391fb48f9e7bd7B2d39Fb32601CD: Result{code:100002, message:ValidateInputAdvanced: Got 60, expected 61. (acc.seq=60)}"... Is unrelated to the tfuel sessions earning issue and may be a natural part of the guardian node and not a "bug".

Please Keep me in the loop on this. Same issue with a new setup. Is there a way to follow you on here? Hmmmmm.

Got it up and running again with a brand new 1Tb SSD and getting same skip vote errors etc. Not a good omen for project if they can get nodes to work. Will wait 10 days for a Tfuel drop. And update then.

I solved it by staking to gpool. Free and safe .
