Can swfobject be modified to include support for installing and launching air apps?

The badge.fla example provided by adobe is far too confining.  It would be
really nice if swfobject had support for air.

Also, 2.2 fairs with the auto installer for adobe air, had to roll back to 
version
1.5 to make this work.
