I've had this happen too since switching to overclocking with teamredminer. It seems that a full shutdown of the PC resets the settings, but that is very inconvenient. I'm using a 6800 XT in case that matters.

To clarify what OP is saying: after closing teamredminer, the overclock settings of the GPU are not restored to what they were before teamredminer was opened. Although @daveygm said a shutdown restores OC settings on his system, it does not on mine (nor does it on OP's).
The overclock settings I use are fine for mining but occasionally cause BSODs during normal computer use (not even gaming). This really should be viewed as a more critical issue. I will be using a different mining program until this is fixed or a workaround is offered.
When I need to do something with PC and shutting down miner overclocking remain same as for mining and cause bsod for me. Please do add option to reset overclocking on exit.
