HiveOS Zil Dual mining options do not work with TRM #634

Was trying to setup dual mining zil on hiveos and quickly found that the built in hiveOS dual mining options for TRM do not work (the base issue might of been there was no option for zil in the dual mining in the miner config).

I think that the miner devs are the ones that push updates for things like this to the hiveos team?

I then manually tried to get the dual mining working but it would not seem to actually switch over to zil most of the time, only a few times. I am using shardpool for zil and 2miners for ETH.

The issue here is that since hive is not setting up the dual mining, it triggers the hashrate watchdog when it did switch to zil mining and causes the system to reboot.

So I gave up for now in hopes it can be fixed.

Trex had no issues with the dual mining using the same settings BTW.

Not sure what that picture is showing? Looks like you are mining to a zil only pool?

How does that help dual mine?

The issue is that all those dual coin settings do not work (I think because there is no zil option in the 2nd coin hash setting).

Then even when I manually setup the --zil options it did not switch to zil mining reliably.

I also do not want to use one of the zil combo pools since you are forced to get ETH payouts. I much prefer 2miners so I can get BTC payouts.

yeah, TRM just was not switching to zil mining properly.

I watched it and trex was mining zil but TRM at the same time on the same rig did not switch to zil..

Your settings do not mine to 2mienrs for ETH.. In fact I can't tell where it mines ETH unless it is also at rust pool?

As I said above, I don't want to use one of the ETH+Zil pools, they only pay in ETH, I like being paid in BTC.

Trex has no issues mining ETH at 2miners and zil at shardpool.

i mine ETH in Hive ZIL in rustpool you can change it to 2miners

The picture you posted does not show any settings for hiveon pool? It only shows rustpool and ton coin settings

That doesn't make sense, why would you put your zil wallet on an eth pool? According to the TRM dual mining doc, you are supposed to use the --zill options for zil mining, just like your ton settings?

sure but you can also try to set the flight sheet and see if the rig switch to ZIL if no wait devs respond if yes happy mining

my next ZIL POW is 37mins later idk the shardpool is the same as mine
