Problems copying My Tracks from old phone to external SD card and then opening them on new phone #1487

What steps will reproduce the problem?
I need to move tracks from my old Samsung Galaxy Apollo to my new Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini. The only way to do this appears to be to export all the tracks to the external SD card currently in the Galaxy Apollo, move the SD card to the Galaxy SIII Mini and then import them. I exported them as both KML and GPX to be on the safe side.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

When I open My Tracks on the Galaxy SIII Mini and ask it to import the files
from the SD card, I get a message saying "/MyTracks/gpx does not exist" and the
same message for the KML files. However if I go to the My Files app on the same
phone, I can find both KML and GPX files. But if I try to open them in My
Files, I get a message saying "Unable to find application to perform this
action"

What version of MyTracks are you using? On what version of Android? On what
phone?

I'm using Version 2.0.6 of My Tracks on my new phone, I don't know what version
it was on the old Galaxy Apollo. Android is Version 4.1.2. Old phone is Samsung
Galaxy Apollo, new phone is Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini

To import tracks (gpx or kml), you must place them in the MyTracks/gpx or
MyTracks/kml folder.

Note that as another option, you can enable sync to Google Drive and place your
kml files in the MyTracks folder in Drive.

Sorry, but this won't work. The version of My Tracks on the Galaxy Apollo on
which the tracks were recorded is Version 56. The only option on this version
is to "Save to SD card". There isn't an option to sync to Google Drive and you
can't specify how they are saved to the SD card other than saying gpx or kml.
Any other ideas please?
Thank you, Simon

For me the solution was to sync my old device to Google Drive. Export to SD
card didn't work.
