Where do I find the latest Windows binaries? #157

Could you explain where I can get the latest Windows binaries? The https://ci.appveyor.com/project/twogood/unshield/build/artifacts link does not seem to contain anything and the https://repology.org/project/unshield/versions link does not seem to contain anything for WIndows... Thank you for writing this tool, anyway.

Currently there is no way to download binaries. Give me some time and I will try out https://github.com/actions/upload-artifact

OK, thanks. Please notify me when you do (I'm not very familiar with this site). It would be nice to have an InstallShield tool that actuallt works (the 1.4.d14d2e2 version I managed to find has some nasty bugs, which I hope were fixed in the last version).

twogood commented 2 years ago

Welcome @B-2Admirer, yes I know windows binaries are lacking but as @kratz00 mentions above the goal is to have them as downloadble artifacts on github.

twogood commented 2 years ago

@B-2Admirer not sure what you mean by "nasty bugs" though ;)

B-2Admirer commented 2 years ago

Sure, I understand, just let me know when it becomes possible to download. I think it doesn't make much sense to report bugs until I've got the latest version, as it may simply not have them.

+1 i think many people don't know how to compile an application. it would be much better if would release precompiled binarys too please.

B-2Admirer commented 2 years ago

I "know" how, but I don't think it's right for me to install the Studio package just to compile this small tool.

There is a pre-built binary in Scoop's packages. https://github.com/ScoopInstaller/Binary/raw/master/unshield/unshield-1.5.1.7z

Unable to use "Unknown option -d" even passing no arguments, this build is broken.

Thanks, but those appear to be 64-bit ones. I need a binary for win32.

I'm very busy at the moment but would be able to compile binary for a USD 500 fee.
