This one is hard to explain. I call hard line a line in the source code, in opposition to soft lines, which are the ones introduced by line wrapping in the user interface.
Select some text across multiple soft lines.
Place the mouse cursor within the editor, after any soft line break that is part of the first hard line, or after the first hard line break (the yellow area in the illustration below).
Start pressing the primary mouse button (left one on most mouses).
Drag your mouse with the primary button pressed.
