What is the destination link if you click on that section?

Jimmy59601 commented 2 weeks ago

Thanks! Here's the target: https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/gifts/?utm_campaign=holiday2024&utm_medium=marketing&utm_source=owned_dock

It's self-promotion. We don't fix self-promotion. Also, we can't investigate further without the account.

Jimmy59601 commented 2 weeks ago

I understand. Thanks.

Jimmy59601 commented 2 weeks ago

Thanks, but what is a "self-promotion" and why can't it be blocked?

stephenhawk8054 commented 2 weeks ago

uBO follows EasyList's policy and self-promotion is described here: https://easylist.to/pages/policy.html

Jimmy59601 commented 2 weeks ago

Thanks, but it should be up to the user to decide what to block. I should be able to block anything I don't want to see.

stephenhawk8054 commented 2 weeks ago

You can add your own custom filters. Default filters in uAssets and EasyList follow their own policy too.
