Adblocking is broken in this build (v113.0.5672.63-151e6e4d5f4211ee25acfc22af119c76791f71aa)

Please revert to the previous adblocking code/settings.

Adblocking is broken

I do not detect any problems. please open a new issue with details.

Thanks for providing so many builds for bromite!

I've had frequent micro-stutters on Android 13 with this version. Note sure if it's caused by bromite patches or a chrome difference. On 112 there were no obvious stutters.

I'll do a comparison with regular chrome soon and see if it is unique to bromite patches.

Unfortunately, it happens to me too, but I still don't understand why.

yes, thank you, especially if you can identify a specific website with which to reproduce the problem.

aluo-x commented 1 year ago

So I tested out chrome (official) 113.0.5672.131, and it doesn't seem to have any stutter. But the 113.0.5672.63 version of bromite does.

Website to reproduce: any reddit post (mobile web) on first load, stutter we begin shortly after post is loaded, and your scrolling will freeze on bromite but not chrome.

Additionally, in bromite I do not have the "Open in New Tab" option, just the open in new tab group option. Not sure if this is also a bug.

uazo commented 1 year ago

@aluo-x so do you have a way to reproduce that problem all the time? because it happens to me randomly... if so, I would then ask you to do some tests, for example:

If you can post the results in another issue. thank you for your cooperation.

I do not have the "Open in New Tab" option

same here, if you open a new issue please... That helps me because it is easier to maintain a separate list of requests than to search through the various posts.

I believe the problem is viewport protection. In the testing I've done so far, there doesn't seem to be any stuttering after viewport protection is force disabled.

As for the missing "Open in New Tab", I can open an issue if it is still a problem in new bromite builds.

Edit: I take it back. Stuttering is still occuring with viewport protection disabled

Too bad, actually there would have been no technical reason... please continue with your experiments, as I said, I have not yet found the exact way to always replicate that problem.
