Describe the bug

The cookies notice should be blocked by I don't care about cookies from adblockplus but it is not on the justeat website. Strangely it seems to be blocked in incognito mode.

Whenever I try to select the URL to copy it it does not select whole URL and I have to manually do it.

Steps to reproduce the bug

Cookies notice not blocked

  1. Just open justeat in normal mode.
  2. The cookies notice should appear.

URL

  1. Try to select URL address/search bar.
  2. It should only select part of it.

Expected behavior

The cookies notice should be blocked in normal mode.

The full URL should be selected.

is not reproducible, it probably depends on the rules you have installed.

are you by any chance interested in helping me create a userscript for blocking those notifications? i don't remember if you said you were a javascript developer...

I have global filters, easylist, I don't care about cookies, fanboy's notification list, easyprivacy and fanboy'z social blocking list in ABP filters.

Unfortunately I am not a JavaScript developer, so I cannot help there.

tried it, the banner does not show up. probably due to the fact that we have different country ip's and perhaps the banner is different.

Yeah I am in the UK, so it is probably that.

I think this might have to do with companies not having to comply with EU laws after Brexit in the UK.

I noticed websites starting to use cookies banner like this more often and worst part they block website UI space and do not give reject cookies option.

BugReportI commented 6 months ago

The cookies banner appear in incognito mode too, after updating to 124.0.6367.118.

I think this issue has something to do with the Eyeo Adblock for Bromite changes in 124.0.6367.118.

I do not know which version of Cromite blocked the cookies banner for normal mode, so I am not sure which changes might have affected that.

Okay, I got a really very weird behaviour.

Where the cookies banner for justeat does not appear in incognito mode after accepting.

Shouldn't all cookies accepted in incognito mode be deleted if exited incognito mode?

The cookies still appears in normal tabs for justeat.

This is happening in Cromite 124.0.6367.159.
