Forgot to mention... Also tried to disable the adblockers Cromite comes with, same result.
Searching the internet I understand that this is a common problem, not just cromite. do you by any chance have an adblock at the dns level?

Nope, if I had such adblock I wouldn't be able to open gphotos using other browsers, it would be a general issue right?
I really don't know what to tell you, if you search you might find the solution.
I checked many fixes, nono of those worked... it's curious how after just logging in (cleared data) it works, but closing app or using it after some time it doesn't work anymore... same behavior in other phones, also check using mobile data.
Hope we could find a fix fot this, I don't really wanna use other browsers hehe

As you can see in the video above, I just installed latest cromite version and logged in my gacccount and I was able to open gPhotos without a problem... but then when I closed and opened it again it won't work.
Some days ago when I installed cromite again (I was using other browser and wanted to check if cromite had already this fixed) it was working but got an update and stopped working, like I showed in the video above... I was unable to find that release where it was working.
Also tried on other phone (full stock - motorola) and same behavior. If you need something, like a log, to help to fix this I'm up to help.
Thanks in advance.
