Describe the bug

If you open more than 15 tabs the new tab and mode switch button on tab strip becomes transparent and hard to see.

Steps to reproduce the bug

Open more than 15 tabs.
Open incognito tab to make mode switch button available.
It should hard to see them.

Expected behavior

The buttons should not have a transparent background making it hard to see them with lots of tabs.

I tried to see if this happens with tablet mode disabled and found it does not seem to be a problem if tablet mode is disabled.

I tried with vanilla chromium and could not find a way to activate tablet mode to test it.

Or do you mean I should test in Google Chrome?
