What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)?
What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?
What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)?
I worked on making the navbar, home page and settings page more responsive, adding an info popover to the chores section, and fixing a bunch of small bugs with persistence and protected routes. Also added linting.
Had some last minute challenges with the persistence and purging at the right time, but managed to get it working before the deadline.
If I were continuing project work I would probably fix some of the small bugs we found that we didn't have time to address, and try to get persistence and purging working more smoothly because what we currently have is a bit of a workaround.
I worked on fixing bugs with the login and sign up flow, as well as small design changes with the buttons throughout the app.
Fixing one bug seemed to cause another, so it was challenging trying to figure out the best way to resolve them in a way that wouldn't break anything further down the flow.
If i continued with this project, I would add functionality to delete an account and work on improving the overall UI of the app.
Worked on fixing bugs with the grocery page, chores page, and notifications. Also worked on making the respective pages more responsive for different window sizes.
There were a lot of bugs with responsiveness, causing different components to look different on my monitor vs. my team members.
It would be nice to continue working on the project by fixing some remaining small bugs, cleaning up the responsiveness, and also streamlining the codebase.
I worked on fixing bugs with the meal planner, refining the prompt to add estimated time, and making the page more responsive. I also added the feature to edit the user's name on the profile page, refined the landing page, and added small details to enhance the user experience.
Things that were working properly before were no longer working the same just before the presentation, especially when it involved state management, so it was challenging trying to track down what caused these changes and how to fix them.
If I were to continue working on the project, I would redesign the landing page and possibly come up with a proper colour palette for the UI. I would also continue to work on the responsiveness of pages and making sure they work for all screen sizes.
