• Implemented House Checklist functionality:
  • Created a Checklist page with fillable form elements to capture user input, allowing users to track construction progress
  • Created a MongoDB schema and model for the checklists collection using Mongoose ODM
  • Created GET, PUT, and DELETE API endpoints to manipulate the checklists collection in MongoDB using Mongoose ODM
  • Connected React and Redux front-end components to back-end APIs

Major Issues/Challenges Faced In the Past Iteration:

• Designing the checklists schema and initializing blank checklists for each house added to the application
• Representing the checklist as a Table component in React

Work Planned for Next Iteration:

• Bug fixes
• Contribute to the preparation of documentation for final project submission
• Review code quality/cleanliness
• Prepare for final project demo

Had to reconfigure drag and drop to work correctly with new styling. Was challenging because multiple z-index's that caused overlap problems

• wrote endpoint tests for backend and made sure all tests pass
• designed cicd pipeline using github action for frontend and backend
• deployed the application on Render
• implemented user authentication and authorization and role based endpoint access control in the backend using jwt in cookies a the feature branch. Ensured basic security.
• added login and logout on the frontend

• implementing user authentication and authorization and role based access control involves a lot of learning and challenges

• finish implementing user authentication and authorization and role based access control and add frontend error handling so that the feature branch will be ready to be merged to main
