Answer 3 questions:
What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)?
What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?
What would you do next if you are continuing with the project?
In the past iteration, I implemented uploading and download .docx documents, fulfilling both stretch requirements with the help of Vishal, and redeployed to AWS at the new domain https://applicationtailor.com.
I had some challenges with changing http to https on AWS hosting, but this was resolved by correctly matching the SSL/TLS certificate names with the domain name.
In the coming iteration if continuing with the project, I would implement the guards for the prompts in our OpenAI API call (in response to questions in the final presentation), and ensure that the additional requests are relevant, legal, and reasonable.
I integrated Google authenticator to our application as well as JWT (json web tokens). I also worked on editing accounts and sign in process to accompany the Google sign in. Furthermore, changed the user model so that we could track whether or not users were google-sign in users.

I would like to work on enhancing the AI's response for creating cover letters.
I worked on the UI overhaul with Silvana to re-design and improve the look of the job dashboard by making Figma prototypes and using material UI and also make sure that all the functionalities are maintained and don't break. I also contributed in the "upload PDF" stretch requirement. There were some bugs that were found when working with job dashboard that I helped debugging. I also helped the team with some deployment issues that we were facing. Lastly, I worked on improving code cleanliness by removing commented out code from various .jsx files.
No major issues or challenges that I faced this sprint
I plan on working on adding another page which displays user information and allow users to edit accounts from that page itself. I will also try to finish our stretch requirements, especially the web-scraper that collects all the data about the job posting just from the link.
I worked on designing and implementing the UI overhaul of the job applications dashboard (while maintaining all the functionality) with Vishal using Figma, Material UI and Tailwind/regular CSS, I also improved the UI of the cover letter generation page and the signup/login/edit account pages, ensuring that the UI was consistent and visually appealing across the entire application.
No major issues faced.
A goal of mine is to make the application fully responsive and accessible (i.e., being able to navigate the site using just the keyboard, having the contents be readable by screen readers), as well as implement landing page and design a logo.
