Testing with Jest

Since the repository was created before the ts-template repository was created, it does not include a basic test setup with Jest. It would be very helpful to have it here as well, to better understand how the kernel is articulated and having a basic setup out of the box.

What would be needed:

• jest testing system
• coverage
• a basic use case that shows a successful workflow
