rog ally desktop mode screen turn off after 3mins then cannot turn on the screen #1773

Describe the bug

issue enter desktop mode, and stay for 5 minutes without doing anything. Then, the screen will automatically turn off. When I tried to turn it on again, the system failed to turn on.

What did you expect to happen?

screen turn on, and the system is still functional.

Same behavior on Steam Deck LCD. The system is still alive during this time and I can SSH into it just fine. It seems to turn back on after a while though (10 mins?).

Exactly the same issue on my Steam Deck LCD. If you leave it alone until it goes to sleep and then wake it up, the screen will actually turn back on. Not sure what's going on there.

also: If you have input connected the screen turns back on when you move the mouse or press a key
