Xiaomi Mi A2 fingerprint "Could not find service hosting interface" #1877

Description of the feature

Same issue as this: #396

Steps to reproduce

Open "System Settings" → "Security & Privacy"

Expected behavior

Under "Security" you should have "FingerPrintID" entry. Inside "Locking and unlocking" -> "Lock security" submenu, you should have a Fingerprint option.

Actual behavior

There is no Fingerprint related option in "System Settings". There’s multiple error message in dmesg: "… init: Received control message 'interface_start' for 'android.hardware.biometrics.fingerprint@2.1::IBiometricsFingerprint/default' from pid: 28 (/system/bin/hwservicemanager) binder: 3094 has pending async transaction, but still adding a new transaction to todo list (gbinder bug workaround) …"

Well, with the help of Shou, I downloaded https://github.com/ubports-xiaomi-sdm660/artifacts/releases/download/20211023/ubuntu_touch_jasmine_global_images_V10.0.17.0.PDIMIXM_9.0.tar.gz and tried running flash_all_except_data.sh but it didn’t work.
