USB-C earphones won't work (perseus)

Steps to reproduce

Connect USB-C earphones and play some music

Expected behavior

Sound through USB-C earphones

Actual behavior

Device sounds through internal speaker, as if USB-C speakers weren't connected.

Hi, I'm using USB-C connector on Xiaomi Mi A2 to listen music. I found out I have to use any USB-C headphones or USB-C > 3.5mm jack adapter without DAC (analog/passive). When it contains DAC, it doesn't work the same way as your. Maybe it's the same issue.

Just some update here: I tried today with a no-name headset, and nothing wa happening at all, as others already saw. The intersting part however is that:

The kernel detects the USB composite device
ALSA lists it as card
pulseaudio ignores it. And thats because we deliberately disabled detection of new audio devices via udev. If I switch that on however the audio stack is messed.
I could get "USB Speaker" popup message, but then nothing was coming out of the headphones. So its a matter of finding a way that pulseaudio will accept the plugged sound card automatically, without any issues and redirect audio.
