Musicpod does find: IRobot and Best of Alan Parsons Project Vol 1 & Vol 2. But that's it.
Hi, what file extension do they have?
They are all mp3. I have discovered that if I go to albums, I can find all the albums individually if I scroll to the album title, but albums aren't listed under artist name. Clementine and RhythmBox find them with no problem and lists them under the artist's name by album.

Ahhhh yes This app needs correct tagging, then everything should be fine. Where they are in the root folder you selected doesn't matter. It's designed to have tagged music
They are all tagged. Here's an example of one cut from one of the folders: [image: Screenshot from 2024-05-19 08-19-17.png]

@Jerrysvoice somehow, I think by quoting me, your screenshots do not show up here on github :) Sorry! I fear you need to upload it once more So to summarize, when you click on the "albums" filter pill, the albums show up?
Wierd, I also attach the files to these replies. Basically all the albums show up individually, and tags are all there. However, when the app groups them by artist, can only find three. Also, there seems to be a very lengthy reindexing going on every time the app is launched which takes several minutes. I have a very large library of music.

It could be that you didn't tag your audio files correctly. The second issue is this one, I need to finally fix
It happens with libs with around more than 4k Files How many do you have? I will rework the local audio "indexing" to use a database instead soon. It's super fast currently for smaller to medium sized libs but after a certain threshold it becomes too slow
I have 17,979 songs in my library, some full albums, some individual songs. All full albums are tagged properly. Some individual songs may not be tagged as being from an album because they were individual singles (digitized from 45 rpm discs).

@Jerrysvoice
Hm, thanks for all of your answers. I have around 3k files, which is not super big but also not very small and I don't have this issue.
This is the local audio view with the "titles" filter pill active
...with the artist filter active
and with the album filter active
when I for example select "Blind Guardian" from the artist view I land on this page with the album grid filter active
when I select an album, the album page is shown
I can also select an artist from the text under the title of an audio tile
and land on the artist page again etc
@Jerrysvoice hi again 😃👋 If you have time would be nice if you could check the new version 1.5.2 and see if you Library loads faster? Thanks in advance
It took 50 seconds to load to the updates notes screen.

@Jerrysvoice there is another performance improvement update in the snap edge channel
Could you
sudo snap refresh musicpod --edge
When you have time?
Done. But I had to restart Ubuntu before the app would run. It took 39 seconds to load. When on a list of titles, every time I move the scroll bar on the right, it takes the same 39 seconds to refresh the list. Each time I move the scroll bar the app is frozen until it finishes. No stop, start or any control to the music currently playing until the refresh finishes. It obviously has something to do with the size of the database it is reading. I changed the "local audio" base directory in settings to a much smaller directory of music files and it loaded instantly. phone or text: 315-790-1333

@Jerrysvoice Thanks for testing again :) 39 is better than 50, but still too much. everything else than 10 seconds for initial start and 5 seconds for reocuring lists is bad. Your huge lib really helps testing musicpod for local audio files. The other two features (podcast and radio) are much easier to implement
I disabled the small images for libs with more than 3000 titles. They still show up in the albums/artist page and in the player though. If you have more time you can test this again from the edge channel
@Jerrysvoice it looks like for people with 40 GB audio files the perfomance is now good (enough?) https://github.com/ubuntu-flutter-community/musicpod/issues/264#issuecomment-2277811125 (latest stable/edge)
As an example, I have a folder: Alan Parsons Project and sub folders of that with all the albums and CD's as individual folders. Musicpod is not finding any of the folders and files within. Any idea what causes this?
