Keyboard shortcut for view item doesn't work in Google Reader #18

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Choose item in Google Reader
2. Press 'V'
3. Message box pops up warning that a pop-up blocker is stopping Google
Reader from opening a new window

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Ideally the item would open in a new tab in the system's default browser

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm running on OSX 10.5 using version 0.99 of the GMDesk app

Please provide any additional information below.
