0.1.3.2 on miranda 0.9.16: no debug log, no connection. #100

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Facebook 0.1.3.2 plugin
Miranda-IM 0.9.16
Windows 7 Pro 32 bit, all Windows Update patches applied.
Other non-distribution Miranda plugins I have installed (latest stable Unicode 
versions in every case)
- Updater
- MergeContacts
Skin: Full contact transparent list on clist_modern.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try to go online on facebook

What is the expected output?

It connects. Regardless of possible connection problems, it logs a debug log 
since I have that option enabled.

What do you see instead?

It tries to connect briefly, then it fails and remains offline. No log is 
stored anywhere.

Please provide any additional information below.

Facebook used to work fine, until the new security measures were released 
(HTTPS and connection tracking). At that point it never connected again, and 
the previous version of the plugin crashed often. I upgraded the plugin to 
0.1.3.2, now it doesn't crash, but it doesn't connect either.

Right now, my facebook account is HTTPS enabled. I use no proxies to reach 
Internet. No firewalls are affecting outbound-initiated connections of any 
type. Facebook chat works on the web. I have tried with the HTTPS option in the 
Miranda Facebook plugin, both on and off, with the same result. I have exited 
and reloaded Miranda every time I changed anything, just in case.

I enabled the debug log feature, but I can find no long anywhere: not in the 
miranda program folder, or in the plugins folders, or in the %TEMP% folder.

Thank you. I assume it is the same problem you mention there: "It will be fixed 
in new version, until that you can disable that option in fb (website) 
settings. "

Still don't know why I can't see any log in the miranda folder or anywhere 
else. The log seems to be working for those other people.

I dont know, maybe you have enabled UAC in windows and Miranda in program 
files? etc.
Log will be created in miranda root folder with <internal fb protocol name>.txt 
name...

Yes, that's probably it. I will change the permissions on the Miranda folder.

That whas it. Changing permissions was not enough, but creating an UAC manifest 
for Miranda to change their privilege level did the trick.

For what it's worth, I'm attaching the log. If it's the same problem that was 
reported in the thread, then this defect can be closed. Thanks! :)
