Design Ground Control Station

General

Measure the diameter and dimensions of each component and make a 2D Drawing of the cutout layout. See image below for basic layout. Switches, buttons and joystick are in the box to measure. Reference Alvaro's drone electronics excel sheet for keyboard, ball track mouse, and screen. Spacing between parts is not defined. Find most optimal and visually pleasing spacing while adhering to the general layout specified.

Bottom Panel

Create a panel for the switches, buttons, keyboard, mouse, and joy stick to fit into. The material can be card board or a cheap wood for prototyping. We will go through multiple iterations to find the most optimal and efficient layout but need to use it to figure this out.

For the joystick, it is relatively tall and will not fit when the lid is down. This item can be reassessed or can fold down and then fold it up when used.

Figure out mounting points of how the panel will be mounted in the box. Where will there be access point for all of the electronics? We can drill holes in the box for cable ports to stick out of. (They will need caps on them if they are external to the box)

Top Panel

Also there will be a top panel containing a 12in screen. Figure out how to mount the screen to the panel. How will the panel will be mounted to the lid? Where will the wire come out the screen and run to the bottom electronics?

Underneath bottom panel electronics

There will be electronics below the panel with switches/buttons. Design some sort of sled or mounting sheet so all of the electronics are secured and not rolling around.

Assume a 3/16 in black acrylic for the final material of both panel. They will be laser cut in the DFX lab.
