It would be nice to be able to alert the user:
* when arriving within a certain distance of something (your destination,
some other point of interest, a buddy) or
* within a certain area (bounding box, polygon) or
* when your buddy arrives somewhere else.
This is obviously interesting for Mobile, but also for Desktop in the case
of a moving point of interest such as a buddy.
There is already preliminary code and a form for specifying distance in
Desktop.
