2.3 wont open but 2.2 wont record #63

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. i open the logkext and type open but nothing shows on the log
2. I try typeing different things and log in and out of my emails to see if it 
records but the log is still empty
3. i quit and restart but problem still occurs

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
a .txt file with the keystroke info, but i get a blank .txt file named 
out_logFile.txt

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm using 2.2 on 10.5.8

Please provide any additional information below.

ive tried to enter "print" but it says (null)
