Recognising my Google Account as Google Apps #382

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Login with a google account which is not part of the google domains.
2. For example mine (admin@planetmechanics.co.tv) < I dont even check it. It is
one of those spare emails. I chose that one because it is a kind of ISP email.
Hosted on one of my servers.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Google Apps server error. Check the video for more information.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? What
version of gdata-python-client (aka python-gdata)?
python-gdata-client 2.0.14

Please provide any additional information below.
I am logging in for the service youtube to upload a video. If i type my youtube
username I need a google account so it will say "you gave permission to
xx@xx.com" not to x_youtube_username.

I also need to know how to log-out out of my other google account which was
gmail and worked with youtube.

If you dont understand me then watch the screenshot video below:

Sorry for the delay. Yeah, that looks really frustrating. I believe you can
wipe all your stored auth data and start fresh if you delete ~/.config/googlecl

Would it be possible for you to paste the auth URLs into a graphical browser
like firefox or chrome? I think Tom made elinks work, but I don't have as much
experience with it. You should be able to exit out of elinks, load the link in
another browser, grant access, then hit enter in your terminal once you've
granted access.

Before pasting the link, you should probably also make sure you're logged into
the account you're trying to authenticate with.

I can't view the video (poor internet connection), but it sounds like deleting
~/.config/googlecl/config will solve (one of) the problem(s). I believe
re-running the command with "--user <your account> --force-auth" will also work.

Out of curiosity, what version of GoogleCL are you using? I thought this
shouldn't happen as of 0.9.12.

I don't understand the rest of your issue. Is it Issue 213?

I managed to clear the auth data. But im back with the old problem. I would use
a browser but my VPS doesnt have enough RAM for Firefox or Chrome or Opera
which support youtube uploading. I tried using the PHP youtube api but i also
failed with that. This is the only option.

Yeah it is Issue 213 and I am using the latest version 0.9.12. I tried editing
the url (taking out the bit that makes it go to google apps) but then it gives
invalid token.

I'm closing this issue as there seems to be no problem with that.
