I think it defaults to GNU GPL-compatible licenses since some libraries' licenses trigger the "mandatory GNU licensing" (see IfLibraryIsGPL); but if you want the libraries that make up the program, go to either repos and type "LICENSE" on the search box
ZXTune is stated to be open source, but I cannot find a license anywhere. Even though the source code is available here, in most countries, we technically need an open source license to be sure that it is allowed to use the source code.
For example, it might be nice to allow Android users to install ZXTune through F-Droid, but without a license, they cannot accept it.
Licenses can be very simple, for example if you want to permit people to do whatever they want with ZXTune, the MIT, BSD, or WTFPL will do fine.
