Awesome idea - I immediately see a monetization opportunity for the idea.

My understanding is that you're using Instagram and other media as the acquisition method for customers, and then to keep them coming back to the platform, have them develop a profile and follow trendsetters?

Wow, it's great that you already know the ML technology stacks - I need to read up on them!

My recollection is that this is how Pinterest is moving towards additionally monetizing their platform. I'm not sure if they use ML, but I suspect they have to manually tag this. Is the technology good enough at this point in time to identify fashion items that might look similar, with a high-degree of confidence?

It could be cool to eventually create a meta-data series of tags for what is in the image.

Thanks Dan for your feedback and favorable comments! Your understanding is spot on and thanks for bringing up Pinterest's efforts in monetization, I'll have to look into what technologies they are exploring. As for the ML technologies, I only know of them through various AI articles and podcasts but don't know enough to design a real solution for my idea (yet). I suppose that will come with our 207 machine learning course!
