Hi !

Here is my journey on this project. My questions are in bold. If you're not interrested of the rest, it will be easier to follow it. I launch myself on this project. I need a new mouse for the laptop I use for work, and why don't create it instead of buying it ?

First of all, I need an ergonomic mouse, for all the reasons possible to use it everyday for at least 8 hours. So I redesign a bit the mouse in order to add some curves which created more contact surfaces with my hand. To not complicate the assembly, I kept the place of all components, just changed the top and bottom body.

Here are some pictures : ![Uploading WhatsApp Image 2024-09-27 at 17.52.35.jpeg…]() WhatsApp Image 2024-09-27 at 17 52 42 WhatsApp Image 2024-09-27 at 17 52 53

With the general design in mind, I planned the printing. Two things is offered to me, filament or resin. I will try the top body in resin to see if the elasticity of the click could work. But honestly I don't bet on it. I will keep you inform about that. For the bottom, it will be in filament because of the size, and every other piece will be in resin.

Then comes the sensor. I've bought directly a sensor because I've not have an hot air station. I take the SROM but something is stange in it. It has a "#include ..." in it which seems to be a library called. Can i removed this line ? Is it normal to have it ? I've not the files which compose the library, so could it work ? For the rest of the SROM, it looks like the dummy one, but with letters and numbers instead of zero.

About the PCB : I've already made an order on jlcpcb, but for that I had the gerber files. Here I don't find them. I download kiCad but couldn't export the gerber files in order to directly make them with the components on it. Could you give the gerber files you used for your order ?

I will try to continue on this project by myself and give some feedback and final pictures.

Thanks for reading me !
