Hi everyone, thanks for the awesome feedback and support on this.
We've been hard at work adding the first run of extension support to the latest beta with support for more extensions scheduled in for the next release! You can find some info on what we've been up to and how to try it out yourself on our blog
KeePass integration for browser Chrome using KeePassHttp
Multiforward for Gmail!
+1 for grammarly, gpg and Todoist!
Would be great too.
Hi @Thomas101 , I just finished updating to v3.3.4. I enabled Boomerang and restarted Wavebox a couple times, but I do not see Boomerang enabled. That is, I see the Boomerang icon in the top right corner, but there's no trace of the usual enhancements that Boomerang brings to the gmail interface. What am I doing wrong?
p.s. I have two gmail accounts configured in Wavebox, but the second one is used seldomly. A few minutes ago I accessed the second account and, to my surprise, I saw a welcome screen by Boomerang! So the problem is apparently only on my primary account, while the other one works correctly.
@Cris70 if you try restarting Wavebox does it appear? Is the account with a custom domain (e.g. your email address will be @mycompany.com rather than @gmail.com)?
@Thomas101 I have just updated to v3.4.1, but it does not work, even after various restarts. I have two GMail accounts configured: one with a standard domain (gmail.com) and one with a custom domain. The one with the custom domain is working, while the standard one is not.
@Cris70 I've added some more info to #407 we'll take it from there. Thanks!
Hi. Do you have an order in which you are looking to implement plugins ? I'm waiting for Gmelius and kind of hoping that because its fairly near the top of the list that it might be sooner rather than later. Without it, Im still using chrome more than I am wavebox which defeats the object a bit
Todoist please
Bitium would be handy. My employer is making a big push into Bitium for credential management. It may soon become impossible for me to log into Slack, Trello, or GMail without using Bitium.
And they have a good Chrome extension.
GoToMeeting for Google Calendar
Wavebox 3.4.3 has just been released and adds support for Gmelius and Mixmax. Switch to the beta channel here
I totally understand wanting to be cautious about extension support, but having to wait for certain extensions to go through this process is painful. IMO, having support for something like Lastpass for password management should be a high priority. But that being said, my priorities don't necessarily align with others. Will there ever be a way to allow any extension be added "at my own risk"?
I really think that the highest support should be a language extension such as grammarly or google translate. For email, I need to write professional emails, and grammarly is my life saver. I almost don't want to use wavebox for certain emails because of this.

Just wanted to give you a big A+ for sorting gmelius out. Saw the new beta update come through today and a broad grin came over my face when i saw gmelius listed. I know there are lots of other plugins that everyone wants, and probably a few more i'd like but with this recent update it means i can start using wavebox properly. Thanks.
Where is Grammarly on your list? It's got the most votes (by a HUGE margin) and other extensions are coming instead.
@lherlitz spooky timing 🎃 since we're working on it now. Some code already in git today, more to follow shortly...
Would like to see Trello Night added.
So ... currently it's not possible to add Gmail Dropbox integration within Wavebox?
I vote for Grammarly as my top most required extension.
We've just added support for Grammarly, Todoist for Gmail & Clearbit Connect to the latest beta (3.6.2). More info on how to try here
Dropbox for Gmail has been added in 3.6.3 beta
Can we add an advertisement/request blocker? I'd suggest uBlock Origin
I'd love to get Zoom Scheduler in so I can set up zoom meetings from the Calendar tab: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/zoom-scheduler/kgjfgplpablkjnlkjmjdecgdpfankdle?hl=en-US
Will there ever be a way to just use extensions vs. having to wait for your process to bless them? There really needs to be a password extension like Lastpass to help with logins for those accounts that do not stay logged in.
@animally we're working towards 100% coverage of the extension API, but until we reach that we find we need to test each one individually to ensure it works. We're using the list here to prioritize which ones we do first and LastPass is one we'll be working on shortly.
+1 on WiseStamp...Top ways to promote company via email. The sooner the better PLEASE.
Google Translate
Where are extensions stored, how are they loaded, and where should I begin to start hacking my own extension into Wavebox?
Commit 57c745b2 looks useful. But those source files have since been removed and the https://wavebox.io/dl/ext/markdown-here-wavebox/2.13.1_0.zip link is dead.
@mogenson sorry for the delay. I'm going to hive this off to https://github.com/wavebox/waveboxapp/issues/542 we can talk tech there. I've added some instructions to get started
Mailvelope
Must have Hubspot. Must must must.
wevebox is almost perfect i just miss Mailtrack, i think is most usefull than others extension already are included. https://mailtrack.io Thanks in advance.
Hey @Thomas101, how far away is 100% API coverage?
@rawkode there's still some work to do here. We are super busy working on it though!
The upcoming 3.10.4beta has a new underpinning engine which matches that of what chrome does much more closely. Up to now, we've had to put workarounds and patches in to make some extensions work, but now these are no longer needed and we're seeing a load of outstanding extension bugs fixed whilst we've been testing. Once this gets released we think we can add a batch of extensions that didn't work previously.
After that the next major chunk that we've got on the board is adding popout support which quite a few extensions use. It's still work in progress, but we're getting there!
Please add : Asana Markdown and Syntax Highlighting (inspired by Github Markdown) Here is the Chrome extension in the Chrome Web Store. Developed by Jordan Katz (now part of Asana team)
+1 Mailvelope
Wondering if delivering in the last update an unlisted and so productive extension as Play Midnight for Google Play Music was a priority... 😲
@phileasb Play Midnight was contributed by the community
I'm avid twitter user and this extension really helpful, please integrate it with wavebox
I would absolutely love to see the Planyway for Trello extension added.
They have a powerup in Trello, but it's far less useful as it doesn't have the side-by-side view which kind of ruins it.
At any rate, Wavebox is already getting a sub from me once my trial is up and this would be a game changer to have it here, thanks!!
+1 hubspot. Have 30 users that I could bring on board on wavebox pro if hubspot integration is available.
Zoom would be great... so scheduling meetings in Google Calendar would work
@Thomas101 Hope all is good with you. Where are you in terms of getting general extensions to work or are you still doing them one by one? Ive not needed a new extension for a while but am just reviewing the "Sortd" extension at the moment and my first thought was "Check if its supported with Wavebox" and noticed its on the list but not done and not many extensions seem to be in the "supported" list at the moment and I wondered if i'f missed some instruction that allows a variety of other extensions to work straight off?
Look at adding chrome-extensions or an alternative extension system. electron-chrome has some support for chrome apps.
