User need: I want to know if lightning is affecting my nearby area.
User need: I want to be able to view imagery that highlights fog and movement of that fog in my area.
User need: I want to know if there are any wildfires in my area and get an idea on their current intensity.
User need: I want to know if showers and thunderstorms are becoming more or less intense in my area.
There are potentially 5 different satellite imagery loops that could appeal to a significant portion of beta.weather.gov users.
These include:
Having the ability to view each of these within beta...with a link to access more/different imagery that is hosted on STAR NESDIS would I believe get us to IOC for satellite imagery. The link to star nesdis would be helpful if it was centered on the region where the person was searching.
Based on R8 discussions, I got the sense that we should probably wait on adding more satellite products till we get more user input that it's valuable/needed.
