Since we had various long discussions on small details of the project (#5, #6, #9, #10), how about adding their results to a CONTRIBUTING.md?

Okay, I would like to suggest that when #9 is merged, you should add a basic set of advice on how to contribute to this project, including a priority. Especially the latter (together with the selection of the most important ones for the initial set) is something only you can decide.

In some cases, there are trade-offs between different conventions. Then, it should be clear which one is more important.
