Multimedia player captioning format #1352

I am trying to find tools that will produce TTML or HTML5 data captions. Am I missing something here because I am not seeing that MAGpie produces these files? Please don't tell me we have to mark up timecoded text files manually...

Also, I am noting that DFXP and TTML seem to be joined in some way? Are they the same format?

Some documentation with the examples about how to produce the captions would be useful, especially for any authoring tools that support this.

Magpie exports to DFXP which is in essence TTML.
