I added an optional fan mount to the X-Carriage, if fan=true it prints the x-carriage with and integral fan mount if fan=false it prints to original one.
The fan is much narrower than the motor and shorter than the hot end on my wades nema 14 extruder so for me it doesn't take up any additional space.
Also 9c86a70 has workable endstop holders for the 6mm version.
