You ought to specify in the README that the license should conform to the SPDX License List formatting.

Well, oddly, you never actually state what the package.json should look like, or even that it ought to be called that. Or am I missing something?

huh, you're right... well then. I should probably add a section on that, thanks for pointing that out.
